The Economic Development Committee meets quarterly on the Tuesday prior to the Council Meeting at 6:00 pm. Some meeting times and dates vary depending upon necessity. Meetings are held at the Municipal Center, 14860 North State Avenue in Council Chambers. This committee reviews and plans for economic growth and vitality of the community. The committee develops methods and ideas to promote economic development in the village. The committee is comprised of the Mayor, two Council Members the Economic Development director, and three local residents or entrepreneurs.

Meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center 14860 North State Avenue to discuss budget and finance matters. This committee also reviews all ordinances and resolutions that come before Council prior to the legislation being placed on Council agenda for consideration. This committee is comprised of three Council Members.

Meets monthly on the Tuesday before Council at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center 14860 North State Avenue to discuss issues that pertain to the streets, sidewalks, public properties, water and wastewater services. The committee is comprised of two Council Members and the Mayor.

Meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center 14860 North State Avenue to discuss park improvements and maintenance, recreation programs and finances and events like Community Days and Taste of Middlefield. This committee is comprised of the Mayor and two Council Members.
Meets on the second Thursday each month at 6:30p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center 14860 N. State Ave. to discuss safety related issues that primarily pertain to village safety forces. This committee is comprised of three Council Members.

Meets monthly on the Tuesday before Council at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Center 14860 N. State Ave. to discuss development plans submitted for approvals, such as, housing development projects and commercial and industrial projects. In addition the commission reviews the zoning districts, uses and regulations. The commission reviews the village comprehensive plan every two years. For the minutes of the former Board of Zoning Appeals (2011-2013)
Meets once per year as scheduled. The Housing Council shall consist of seven members with three year terms. The housing council shall review any and all tax abatements issued. Members are Scott Klein, Theresa Feicht, Nick Giardina, Latisha Stupka, and Linda Smallwood (Chair). This committee is short a member, if any resident of the village is interested in serving on this board please let the village know.
