Flying Start Event- Geauga County Airport in Middlefield

EAA Chapter 5 is hosting a Flying Start Event on Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Hangar 3 of the Geauga County Airport in Middlefield that is geared for those adults (18 and older) who are interested in learning to fly.
In order to participate in the Flying Start Event, you must pre-Register online. Follow this link, https://flyingstart.org?383 to “Register for Event” and follow the prompts. Early registration is encouraged because seats to participate are limited.
Plan to arrive at 1:00 pm on August 28th for the Social / Meet and Greet. At 1:30 pm we will sit down for a Classroom Presentation on how to become a pilot, with information needed to pursue your dream to “learn to fly.” Around 2:30 pm, you will be paired with a Mentor Pilot who will take you outside to see his / her airplane for the pre-flight experience before your Eagle Flight. We hope to do the Eagle Flights that day, but if there is inclement weather, they will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date, time and location. There is no cost for the Flying Start Event and your Eagle Ride is also FREE.
