The EAA Chapter 5 Summer Youth Aviation Camp will take place June 6-10 for new campers at the Geauga County Airport in Hangar 3 from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm and is designed for kids with a real interest in AVIATION!

Students will actively participate in learning about aerodynamics, parts of a plane, the engine, flight operations, careers in aviation; will develop skills in map reading, riveting, woodworking & building; and will be given opportunities to tour the airport facilities and to “fly” on flight simulators.

There will be daily activities such as glider flying contests & scientific experimentation, as well as recreational fun activities. After the camp, there will be an opportunity for campers to take a Young Eagle Flight (parental permission given and weather permitting) on Saturday, June 11th .
Space in the camp is limited to 18 students to allow for more hands-on opportunities and to allow for appropriate COVID-19 protocols. Registration forms and $150 fee due by Friday, April 28th, 2022. A T-shirt, hat and supplies are included; participants should bring their own lunch though snacks will be provided. Scholarships available.

Corporate Sponsorship positions are also available. Please inquire about levels.
