Part-Time Recreation Supervisor
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Recreation Supervisor. In this role, you will supervise and be the liaison for all youth sports programs and activities, ensuring a positive and safe environment for participants. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community engagement, youth sports, have leadership experience, and a strong understanding of recreational programs and a commitment to providing an enriching experience for young athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate recreational programs, activities, and events to ensure a fun and safe environment for participants.
- Lead, train, and support a team of recreation staff and volunteers.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness, making improvements as needed.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of recreation spaces and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Handle participant inquiries, concerns, and feedback, providing excellent customer service.
- Develop and maintain schedules for staff, volunteers, and program activities.
- Assist in the promotion of recreation programs through social media, flyers, and other communication channels.
- Prepare and maintain records of program participation, incidents, and reports.
- Coordinate with community organizations and partners to ensure diverse and inclusive program offerings.
- Attend monthly recreation committee meeting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in recreation, sports management, or related field is preferred).
- Previous experience within recreational programs or community services or similar.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including children, teens, and adults.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management in recreational settings.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Some physical activity required, such as setting up equipment and assisting with event operations.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on the program.
