Recognition for Bill Mast
At the regular council meeting, Dec. 16, for the the Village of Middlefield, Bill Mast, Middlefield resident was recognized for his contribution of re-painting the mural on the outside west wall of the Middlefield Tavern this past summer. During the recognition time, Council member and local historian, Rick Seyer, discussed some old photos in his possession, one showing a Christmas tree in the middle of the street standing under the first light in the Village. He mentioned the light was always red when facing north and south and always yellow facing east and west. The photo pictured is looking east from downtown Middlefield.
